5Best bang for buck
By Joshy H
I began my quest for a tv at walmart with a budget of $600-700. I first noticed that this tv's image quality was superior to any of the other standard lcds and superior to most of the LED tvs that were hanging on the wall at twice the price. Since it was Walmart, and they are notorious for having crappy tv feeds, I took this with a grain of salt and decided I would visit another walmart to see if the quality differences were the same. They were. I couldn't believe how natural the sharpness of the E420VL was at this pricepoint. I'm a photographer so my eye is trained to spot sharpening artifacts (halos, etc) and this tv had none. The picture had awesome definition with the sharpness set to 1, which is fantastic. Another thing I noticed were the natural looking reds. One thing I've never liked about LCD tvs is the over-blown reds that are almost fluorescent looking. The colors of this Vizio looked like a CRT monitor. I thought to myself "the image quality is good but how will it handle blu-ray or fast-moving video?" I got online and found only positive reviews so I decided to check out more tvs at Sam's and BestBuy before making a final decision. After looking at both places, I just couldn't find a TV with better image quality for under $1500 bucks. Even some of the "higher-end" vizios didn't have the picture quality that E420VL has. I'm a very skeptical person so I just found it really hard to swallow that this TV would have look this good at this price point. I was aware of Vizio's quality control issues in the past but having read a lot of reviews on this particular model, I couldn't find the negative reviews that have plagued certain Vizio models. To make a long story short, I went back to Wal-Mart and bought the E420VL for under $600 bucks. A few tweaks later, I love this thing. Here are a couple of settings that I use on my to get a phenomenal picture:Picture Mode: MovieBrightness: 47under Advanced Picture:Smooth Motion Effect: LowReal Cinema Mode: Precision (The combo of low Motion Effect and Precision reduces the Soap Opera Effect inherent to 120hz or higher TVs)Adaptive Luma: Extend (more detail in dark areas; this combined with 47 brightness created a natural-looking high-contrast picture)

5Superb!
By Jacob M. Kroon
I work for a Cable TV company installing so ive seen LCD tv's at there best and worst. This is definetly a top tier tv. 480 analog and digital pics have very little distortion and blur. The hi def is amazing. So crisp and vivid. I am very impressed with the tv for its price, and image quality.

5Fantastic TV
By lottscarson
I generally only write a review if I'm either incredibly disappointed or incredibly impressed with something... Fortunately, this TV falls into the later category... I am definitely very impressed with this TV. I didn't buy it from Amazon (it was $600 at Costco when I got it), so I can't comment on delivery/etc, but I can comment on the quality of the product. It's amazing. I've connected multiple devices to the TV; Blu-Ray, PS3, XBox360, Upconverted DVD, HD Cable, etc... Everything looks great. The menus are very easily navigable, and I've haven't had to adjust anything since the first day that I've had it. 1080p sources really do look amazing (and 720p is NOTHING to sneeze at)... I really have nothing bad to say about this TV. My PS3 and XBox360 look incredible. Highly recommended, man!

5Great 2D and impressive 3D!
By Michael Smith
I recently purchased this TV and wanted to give my thoughts. I went in looking for a 2D TV, thinking a 3D TV was out of reach.... fortunately the Thanksgiving sales were getting started, and I got this one for only a couple hundred more than what I had budgeted for a 2D TV. The reviews on this TV in 2D mode were good, so I figured 3D was almost free, and if I didn't like it, nothing lost. The TV is quite attractive itself.... sleek and modern. It's not sporting the new "monolithic" look of the higher end Sonys, but it has a small bezel and won't looked outdated, if that sort of thng is a concern to you. It comes with a decent stand, and has all the connections you need. Some of the connections are on the back of the unit, so be advised if you plan to wall mount it.The TV was easy to set up and get running. In 2D, the TV is indeed impressive. SD pictures are very good, but the HD picture is pretty spectacular. Bright, crisp, great colors.... beautiful! If you're a videophile, you'll probably want to mess with the settings. I used some calibration settings a videophile friend recommended, and it does look good, but I'm not the most sensitive person to such issues. Some reviews complain about limited viewing angles. I did notice some loss of contrast with off-angle viewing, but again, it doesn't really seem to be an issue with me, except at fairly extreme angles, where you can't see the picture anyway. So how's the 3D? PRETTY DARNED IMPRESSIVE! I find the 3D very convincing. Unlike some other brands I sampled, I did not detect any crosstalk or ghosting. I'm really looking froward to seeing content developed with these kind of TV's in mind. The HX800 includes a 2D to 3D conversion mode which worked better than I expected, but I'll be honest and say this is mainly a gimmick to play with until more genuine 3D content is available. The glasses work well to block out ambient light, though I found them a tad tight, so I hope Sony makes a pair for goons like me with big heads. On the bright side, they include adjustment so I can get them to fit on my 8-year-old daughter and I don't have to spring for the kid's model. The sound is only acceptable for TV speakers, but most people getting this TV will be using it with an external sound system, so no big deal. The included speakers are certainly OK for short term use, or in a small room where a home theatre set-up isn't practical. I wound up using Sony's CT150 sound bar system and I'm very happy with that.

5You can't go wrong!
By Kevin R. Struck
Just got this unit a couple days ago. First, setup was a breeze, menu driven and easy to follow. Took less than 5 minutes, including internet connectivity. If you have a Netflix account, the setup was also super easy. Follow the on screen instructions, register your set at Netflix and within seconds, your ready to stream. Your Qeue is onscreen and streaming starts quickly. Impressive list of other internet based video sites as well. Not to mention streaming music and pictures from the more popular photo sharing sites. I should mention that the set is connected hardwired to a router in my living room so I cannot comment on the wireless setup yet.I connected my set to a Dish Network 922 VIP HD reciever and I have to say, the picture is excellent - maybe not perfect, but darn close. Colors are accurate, bright and the picture is sharp and smooth. 240 Hz makes a huge difference from 120 HZ or 60 Hz. You will be impressed.Remote is simple and comfortable in your hand. The menu's are quick, responsive and easy to follow. Little need for the manual.Good number of inputs for your sat/cable receiver, home theater, blue ray player and game system. Xbox looks amazing on this thing and I am sure a Playstation looks just as good.3D - I did not purchase the 3D glasses and emitter, and I really wish Sony included them. That is my only complaint. I did try out the 3D functionality in the store watching a ESPN football game. While the 3D was fun and far better than I ever remember it being, with so little content out there now, I figured I would wait a while. If you are looking for a entry level, 3D ready, quality LED-LCD TV, you cannot go wrong with the HX800. The price is right and you will be impressed by this set.

5Its blows HD off the charts
By laurnzo
Ok, first of i took a risk on buying one because the bundle was so good an offer from Sony. Though like many i bought a sony bravia 40' 2 years ago, i always wanted to get a big screen to change the 42" westington house i had from 4 years ago. My finance and i went to sony style store just to check it out and it only took us 5 minutes to decide to get one after watching a few things on the screen in 3D. My finance was complaining about my Gizmo habits so i promised her i'm not buying anything but instead she wanted it more than i did.Now about the TV..WOW the picture quality will blow your mind. Watching 3D with my Comcast HD Box by turn on 3D was more than i expected. Tried a regular blu-ray with 3D and i was like WOW. Played the free games that came with the purchase on PS3, it takes gaming to another level. The only little problem i noticed is when you turn on the 3D it takes about 10 seconds for your eyes to get adjusted to the 3D. I heard a lot about getting headaches and feeling of throwing up but nothing of that sort happen to me nor my finance who wears glasses.I know there is a hugh hole in my pocket now but its worth every line of thread it took out. If you had the money, id recommend you get on, if not then wait for the price to come down and you won't regret it.

4Best 720P SET......
By Michael D'innocenzio
So I was in the market for a 32 inch tv and found this Toshiba to be a great value. I 32 inches, having 1080P isn't necessary and worth the extra cash. I also reviewed the 37 RV525R, which is virtually the same set but with 1080P. It's got good blacks, better than everage. Excellent whites, as most LCD'S have. Handles motion very well despite not having 120 refresh rate. Does a good job with 3:2 pulldown, although you have to turn that feature on, which is the cinema mode turned to film. Viewing angle isn't too great, but then again no lcd is. Once you get 14 degrees off-axis you lose 50% of the picture's contrast. Reflections aren't too bad with this Toshiba, so it's ideal for brightly lit room. Color accuracy isn't too bad but there is a green push which the picture menu allows you to correct. The audio is also very good for a little flat panel, except you get a little vibration with certain dialog with the bass turned all the way up. The remote is excellent and is very user friendly. The menu system is very simple and easy to navigate. Overall, this is a great value. Sure, you will get a better tv with either the Samsung or the Sony, but you will pay more for the extra features they come with. Are they worth it to you? It does, however, outperform the LG,Sharp, and the Panny in most areas. At the price you can grab this for it's hard to turn down. Here are calibrated settings for this tv.. Note: I will keep updating these settings until I feel they are perfect, so keep checking in from time to time.UPDATED SETTINGS..1/2/10...THESE NEW SETTINGS WILL GIVE YOU MORE POP.HDMIMODE: PREFERENCECONTRAST: 48BACKLIGHT: 80DYNALIGHT: OnBRIGHTNESS: 56COLOR: 39TINT: 0SHARPNESS: 0ADVANCED PICTURE SETTINGS:DYNAMIC CONTRAST: OFFSTATIC GAMMA: 0COLOR TEMP: WARMB DRIVE: 0G DRIVE: -5NOISE REDUCTION:DNR: OFFMPEG REDUCTION: OFFTHEATER SETTINGS:PICTURE SIZE: NATIVE(HDMI)CINEMA MODE: FILMAUTO ASPECT RATIO: OFFI gave it a four star only because of the speaker vibration during certain dialog and the major color adjustment it needed, but for the money, I could have easily given it a five star.

4Great TV for the price
By J. Rodriguez
Got this in today. UPS delivered with a hole in the box and broken styrofoam blocks. TV was fine, though. No dead pixels and everything is functional. Picture is very good with strong clarity and fine tuning controls that help a lot. Black levels are better than my Philips 1080P set!Setup is a bit lengthy and the manual is not as detailed considering how big it is. Play with the controls for awhile and you'll get the gist of the tuning controls for picture.Works with cable or Antenna OTA signals just fine. Strong signal too with a signal meter that is very helpful. If using OTA HD antenna, set the TV to an "antenna" input and then do a channel search. Once it worked, the OTA signals look better than the HD Uverse. The sound is VERY clear with a decent bass to it. Compared to a Sony, Samsung, and Panasonic that I listened to at a store this was MUCH better sounding.Channels change quickly with the remote. Remote is universal with up to two other input controls. Size of text on the screen is good without being too big. Info buttons show the display of the show info very quickly. Will put on a good power surge protector after reading a post about power supply issues. Most of that tends to be because of power flucuations from the socket or cheap surge protectors. However, sometimes things just die as I've seen on both regular and HDTV's.Excellent set overall. I compared this to my 42" 1080P set and the difference was minor. Awesome for the bedroom, den, or even a main HDTV.Will update if I have any problems. Paid with Amex so that I double the warranty for free.

5Standard definition signals look better than the standard def on other 720p TVs
By Quoad Toad
I bought the Toshiba 32AV502R for my elderly grandpa. I wanted to get something for him that was easy to use and took up very little space. This TV is working out perfectly for him. He watches TV solely in standard definition. The picture on this Toshiba is better than either of my Panasonics in SD. The colors appear vibrant even in standard definition. The picture in standard definition isn't perfect of course and will likely not impress people used to HD TV. For my grandpa though, this isn't an issue. He likes the picture and is able to use the remote easily. We also tested the TV in HD and found the image to be quite pretty. The blacks were dark and the colors were vibrant. The TV fits nicely on my grandpa's smallish credenza and doesn't overwhelm his small bedroom. The case is shiny and the speakers are unobtrusive.Overall, my grandpa has had a great experience with this TV and so far it has been the perfect TV for his small space.

5Just about perfect
By R. A. Livingston
This model replaces LG's mid-range offerings from the past two years which are currently being sold or cleared out at the various retailers. I did a lot of research between brands and models, and am convinced that this is currently the best combination of price/performance/features. Sale prices are more than $100 less than the older models, too.Size: 37" TVs aren't as commonly stocked in stores, but I think it's a great size with a bigger picture than 32" without many more $$$. 40" or 42" were just too big for me to use and usually entailed a significant price jump.Picture: The picture is fantastic, and the Picture Wizard tutorial helps get the colors set to something pleasing in short order. Viewing at an angle is superb, and was a differentiating factor from the Sony EX series. The Sonys washed out considerably with only a small change in viewing angle. I was tempted by LEDs but found the reflectiveness of their screens too distracting. I also looked into the 120 Hz models but, in my humble opinion, found them to be much ado about nothing. I like to watch action sports and have found everything to be crystal clear at 60 Hz. Side by side in the store I found the LG and comparable Samsung to be nearly identical.Sound: I was prepared for the worst after reading scores of reviews saying that the sound out of this grade of speakers was terrible. I've been delighted with the output and the "surround" enhancement was good enough to be disconcerting (only because I wasn't expecting it). There are 5 sound modes in addition to custom; I haven't reached an opinion yet about these being a positive or negative. I see no need to get external speakers at this point.[as an aside, I found one station for which the sound was out of sync with the picture. I'm connected via HDMI to a FiOS HD box. I'm not enough of a techie to know the cause for this, but all the stations that are my regulars are fine. It was PetHD that was out of sync.]Features: There are ample inputs, including USB, but to date I've only used the HDMI. Unless you are looking for cutting edge Internet connectivity and are willing to pay for it, this has everything you need. I personally don't see the world of TV moving to 3D anytime soon, if at all, and certainly the current offerings aren't ready for prime time. For a 60 Hz, 1080p LCD TV there wasn't anything better that I found (that was worth the extra money).Bottom Line: Great picture, great price. I was surprised that I got mine at Sears (of all places) for a price that blew everyone else away. I usually order from amazon with Prime shipping, but until last week their price wasn't competitive. My research told me that the prices on all these sets are in constant flux and the best price this week won't be at the same place next week.

5I've had LCDs before...
By Q. Nguyen
For the price, this LCD is phenomenal. I went to the local best buy looking for something to mount in the dining room so I can watch the news in the morning among other TV shows. After looking at all the 32s, 37s and 40s. This one stood above the rest. I have a Samsung LN46A650 and in my opinion, it was their best line of TVs and I'm glad I don't have to pick from their subpar line of TVs now. I've seen clarity, rich colors 1080p etc etc etc. The LG is comparable to a TV that was 3 times its price.Let me explain. You really have to literally take look all of the quailties of a TV in order to make an educated and smart purchase. Don't buy a sony becuase it's a sony. Don't buy a TV of the same size that's more expensive because somewhere in our upbringing we wer taught, expensive = better. Not the case. When looking for a TV, look at how choppy fast motion is. Do you see background pixelation around the central image? (like a fast moving car, a football player, etc.) Can you see inconsistencies in the back lighting? Are blacks rich while the rest of the picture is vibrant? (not bright, vibrant)Does the picture look grainy or are the textures smooth? Try not to get caught up in the technical aspects of the TV if you don't know what they mean. They'll just make you *think* one TV is better than the other. Look at the TV and let your eyes decide. After comparing several models in a similar size range, and taking cost into account, this TV wins hands down. At the store, you have to try to remove the factor of the factory settings becuse stores don't take the time to optimize *each and every* TV. Most TVs nowadays have more customization than you can shake a stick at. Gone are the basic color, tint, brightness settings. Now it's gamma, RGB, temperature and so on. Most TVs have the ability to be tuned the way you want it and it's because of this that it is so important to focus in on the mentioned above items. This LG shows a wonderful smooth picture that isn't grainy, doesn't show pixelation and colors are rich and lifelike, not plasticy and bright. Yes the Samsung of the same size is just as good, but the extra $200 it cost isn't. Go and literally take a look at your local store and look for the things I mentioned above an you'll see that this is a great Tv.

4Great Value
By Wm Sean Donovan
We have been looking for a bedroom TV (had to be LCD and 1080P) for the past couple months. This was almost a no brainer, especially with the discounts we received from the store from which we purchased (HHGregg). It was even cheaper than Amazon pricing which is a shocker. This was our first LG purchase. We have typically been Samsung (love the 58" plasma) and Sharp (have a 32" 720P for the boys gaming), but the LG seems to be the most user friendly. I love the quick guide option off the remote which takes you quickly to areas of interest in setting up sound, video, etc... Set-up was simple and the screen looks awesome. There are no Internet access points, but as this is just a TV for the bedroom we were not pressed on that front. I would recommend this TV for sure as a new model along with the most needed bells and whistles to make a typical buyer happy. Enjoy!

5You can't go wrong with LN32C550. One of the best 32" 1080p 60Hz HDTV out there.
By Nadeem
I bought this TV after reading alot of reviews and a few visits to store to compare different 32" size TVs offered by Sony, Samsung, LG and Panasonic. This was among the best and top of the line Samsung 'LCD' 1080p HDTV model in 32 inch series. Finally I narrowed down my search to Sony's Bravia 32" KDL32EX400 and Samsung's LNC530 and LNC550.All 3 HDTVs have a lot of things in common like 1080p res, 60Hz refresh rate, CCFL LCD Panel, HDMI/USB ports, Picture-in-Picture support etc, but there are also some diffs among these three. Samsung LNC550 stood out from the former (Sony KDL32EX400) in the following features.--USB Media Player. The USB Media Player on Samsung is way ahead than any of its competitors. This things plays a wide variety of video/audio codecs (avi,mkv,mp4,H264,DivX, Xvid,MPEG1,MPEG2). You name it and they have it. It also supports the 5.1 audio (DTS Core, A52/AC3) and subtitle (.srt) files. Ofcourse, USB Media player functions faster and easily when u browse media using USB Hard Drive.--DLNA 'All Share' Network Streaming. This is something really important for me in a TV since I have most of my media files on PC. The same USB Media Player in this TV also plays 'flawlessly' a number of audio/video (720p HD) streams directly from your PC. All you need is, connect your TV to your Wireless router (wired connection) and then share your media files via the home WiFi network. You can use either Samsung's PC Share Manager software or Windows 7 Media Player to share your PC media contents. (Both LNC530 and KDL32EX400 lack this)--Supports an affordable Samsung LinkStick Wireless adapter which connects your TV to broadband router wirelessly.--Connectivity Options (2 USB 2.0 ports, since more USB ports means you can connect more USB devices)--Intuitive Samsungs Remote controls--Intuitive OnScreen Menu Navigation--Easy to reach touch buttons on front panel.--Better Quality and material used in frame.--Aesthetic, Clean Design and Looks.

5First HDTV
By Anonymous
I knew I wanted a samsung HDTV because I have heard great things from friends who know more about technology than I do. I have not been disappointed in the least with my purchase. The tv has great sound and picture quality both in dark/dim lighting as well as in a sun drenched room. The tv is in a bedroom which it is a perfect size for. It was easy set up, I did it alone. The box does say to have two people work on it but definitely possible to do alone if no one is around and you are impatient. For set up you will need a Phillips head screw driver. The only downside which has nothing to do with the tv directly was that fedex left the package on my front stoop when I was not home and it comes in a factory box with a picture of the tv on the box, just something to be cautious of if you order this product.

2Quit working
By Calvin Clift
The TV was great while it worked. However it went to "black" the first week and we called Samsung, who had us UPS the new TV to them for repair. I spent a lot of money on a TV to not be able to watch it! We did get the TV back from Samsung, and it now works fine. I am suspicious that it is a "refurbished" unit as the TV had a "R" behind the serial number when I bought it from Amazon and I could not take it to a local shop, but had to mail it back to Samsung. At any rate I am happy with it as it is now.

5Startling clarity, detail, and color
By Mike
Had my Samsung UN55B8000 TV a couple of weeks now. It has more than lived up to the hype. Hooked it up and put on a blu-ray disk. Even the delivery guy's jaw dropped, and he's delivered/set up hundreds of TVs.TV is only inch and half thick and only weighs 60 pounds or so.In fact, it is sometimes almost too good. When viewing people on HD you can see every little mole, scar, wrinkle, stray hair, makeup, five o'clock shadow, makeup line, etc. I'm sitting here watching the news and I can clearly see tiny pieces of lint on the guy's black suit. I'm guessing the talking heads of tomorrow are all going to have to have much better complexions. If you like to tweak your TV this one provides a lot of different controls. There are already some websites that will give you what they consider good tweaks to maximize the pic. You can also look for the B7000 tweaks. Looks pretty darn fantastic right out of the box so if you aren't a techie, don't worry about it.Sounds..not particularly good or bad, but I don't want TV speakers taking up space anyway. If you are going to spend this kind of money for a TV you should be using your stereo system. Some reviewers were complaining about the number of inputs. Again, how many is enough. I run my PS3, XBOX360, IPOD, and the Dish box through my Denon and so I only use one HDMI.You can plug it into the internet. No set-up, just plug it in. First thing it did was download 12 updates to itself. Have no idea what they did but ...didn't cause any problems. It automatically loads up some of Yahoo's widgets. Fun to try but...not something I have really gone back and used much. Also has some built in content...recipes, artwork, etc. that I haven't bothered to look at.You can plug in USB drives and view content directly off the drive.I long ago got rid of my roof antenna. I bought a little Turk indoor antenna and plugged that in so I can pop over into over-the-air signals and watch TV. It will automatically search and find the on-air channels. It even downloads some kind of TV guide from the internet for the channels it finds.I also wanted to see if there was any signal degradation from Dish. I haven't noticed the HD degradation with Dish that I had with Comcast. The way Comcast packed the HD signals you could see a real difference between OTA and the packed pics.Samsung also provides software which allows you to use your PC as a server. Then you can display your pics, music, etc on the TV. Took a little playing around but was easy compared to some of the others I've tried to use.I've played games with both my PS3 and the XBOX360. No problems. No pixelating. Did not bother to change TV over to game mode. I haven't fooled around with the 240Hz function. I just leave it on standard.I'm sure there are other features I haven't tried. With the ability to update itself over the internet I have no doubt they will teach it even more amazing tricks.I've set up my Harmony 880 Pro to control all my devices including the IPOD. IPOD menu/info will display (through my Denon) on the TV.All of the above features are great but the main thing is... the picture is just absolutely mind-blowing wonderful. So, fantastic TV. I am VERY happy with it. Obviously I highly recommend it.((Now I'm watching Wall-E in HD and it is pretty amazing.))

5WOW!
By Kalibr
I have owned Sony televisions exclusively for the past 30 years. I was in the market for a new TV to replace my older Sony 50" Grand WEGA LCD projection set. I always keep up with new technologies in consumer electronics and knew that LED backlighting was the way to go. One day, I visited Best Buy to see the new Sony models. I was particularly interested in the Sony Bravia XBR8 LED TV. It has an awesome display, but I couldn't bring myself to part with $5K for a TV. The high price was a big disappointment. I knew Samsung made LED models so I decided to check them out too. I was immediately floored. They looked far better than Sony's more expensive LED model and for $2K less. But, was I really willing to purchase something other than a Sony TV? I would have to be convinced. I did a lot of research on these Samsung sets. I demoed them in several stores and read as many reviews as possible. IMO, the Samsung LED TVs are by far the best technology currently available. Their display must be seen to be believed. Most impressive of all, is the fact that Samsung accomplished this in a set that is only 1.2" thick.Well, I was finally convinced and decided to purchase the Samsung UN55B8000. I have owned it for almost a month now and I am in awe every time I watch it. This set is beautiful even when it's turned off. But, you won't want to turn it off because the clarity, detail, brightness, contrast and color are absolutely exceptional. For the first time I have owned a TV, I did not have to make any adjustments to the factory settings - it looked perfect right out of the box. In fact, I had purchased a calibration DVD and was surprised to find that I didn't have to make any adjustment to any controls.Of course, the most amazing thing about this set and what intially lured me to it is its picture quality. It's difficult to explain the level of detail it produces. I have HD cable programming (1080i), which looks fantastic. Games on the Xbox 360 pops out at you. But the images produced from a Blu-ray source is absolutely breath-taking. I was also pleasantly surprised at how bright the display looks in my sunlit family room. I thought I would have to adjust the brightness to view the set in daylight and again when watching at night as I did with our old Sony TV. Although the screen on the UN55B8000 has a gloss finish, it does a great job of reducing glare and reflections.I do want to respond to the negative comments that others have posted here regarding uneven backlighting or vignetting effect caused by the edge-lit LEDs when the TV displays dark images. The only time I notice this was when the set displays a totally black background such as in movie credits. At best, it appears as a very faint illumination from the corner. But even then, I really had to look for it. I don't think this is an issue at all; at least not one that should deter anyone from purchasing this incredible TV. I have to assume that those that have experienced this anomaly are probably looking at an uncalibrated set that has its brightness level turned way too high.I took advantage of the slim design of this set and purchased the ultra slim wall mount. The TV hangs like a picture frame and looks like a masterpiece, which it is. The slim case houses adequate speakers, producing fairly good sound quality for normal TV viewing. Of course, you would want to watch movies through a surround sound system. As for the other features of this set; the internet widgets are pretty cool, but slow. I especially like the YouTube widget. The DLNA network feature is also a nice addition, but the interface is also slow and not very intuitive. I'm hoping that a future firmware upgrade would improve the functionality. The content library feature is my favorite. It allows you to display a slideshow of artwork or other pics with soft background music - great for parties. You can download additional content for free from Samsung.I am extremely pleased with this television and would recommend it to anyone.

4Very good but not perfect
By A. Bailey
Clarity and colors are stunning. It literally makes everything you watch look like it was filmed with a consumer grade camcorder rather than pro grade cameras. This TV makes things look like they are happening in front of you in your very own room. You see every strand of hair, every wrinkle, every mole and blemish on faces. You have to see it to believe it. One way to describe it is that everything looks "different" than what you may have been accustomed to seeing. I recommend that you see this TV in a brick-n-mortar store to see what I mean. The number of adjustments menus is also above and beyond what any one of us not in the business of making these TVs is ever going to need. For folks that want to tweak, here is your opportunity. However, this TV is not perfect.1. Corners show reverse vignetting where on very dark scenes you can see the corner illumination projecting significantly into the screen. It looks like a flash light is projecting from the corner. The corner itself is very dark but a very faint light spreads in a fan pattern from each corner towards the center of the screen. This is only visible in very dark scenes where the primary display color is black. You can not see this normally.2. The stand does not feel sturdy. If you push on the very top of the bezel, the screen will rock back and forth... I freaked out the first time I did that when I bumped the screen during placement of the TV on my entertainment stand. Looking at the attachment point, Samsung went super cheap; the current attachment technique does not belong on a TV in this price range. You are provided with (literally) a shoe-lace attached to a triangular piece of plastic that attaches to the TV. The other end is supposed to be attached either to the wall or your stand. This is really out of place for a TV of this caliber and I think is my biggest disappointment with this TV.As the LED display technology advances, I'm sure this TV will be surpassed in performance by future models from Samsung or competing brands. However, for the time being, this is a very good HD display with some imperfections.I'm pleased with the purchase and look forward to many years of service.Regards,

5Fabulous Television, Amazingly Fine Delivery Service
By Allen Goldenson
Yes, I agree with the other reviews so far that the 32-inch Samsung is simply the best TV of its size. Did extensive side-by-side viewings before buying it, and it worked and looked perfect right out of the box.Speaking of "right out of the box," why doesn't Amazon mention the outstanding delivery service by Pilot Freight? The unit was promised in four days, they called and asked if they could deliver it in three. They had two people bring it in, unpack it and set it up, plug the set into the cable box and plug the DVD player into the set, turn everything on and verify that it all worked. They showed me how to use the control, cleaned up everything and removed all of the packing and clutter. Great job, far better than expected. Both the set and the unexpected white glove delivery service are superb.

3Nice Looking But Problem Already?
By sramspam
TV arrived delivered from CEVA in perfect condition. However, when I plugged it in, there's a high pitched buzzing sound. When I unplug, it is not there. Anyone else had this issue? I will be calling Samsung to report and ask for options. I'll review my rating afterwards.**Update ao 5-29-09: Called Samsung and was told a tech would come for in-home servicing. Called service company to schedule the appt. but was told I would have to mail it in and it could take up to 21 days for servicing and return. I called Amazon Customer Service and they are sending me a new unit and the delivery people will pick up the defective unit and take it back. I am much more satisfied with Amazon's swift resolution than Samsung and their vendor servicing through CVE. Apparently, any sets under 37 inches must be mailed to their facility for servicing. The only concession is that they will extend your warranty by 90 days but on the other hand, you're out of the tv for almost a month! Amazon handled the transaction very well. Will update rating upon re-delivery.
