Great TV

Just picked this set up from Sam's Club for a great price. The display set in the store didn't do this set justice. Right out of the box this tv was easy to set up to my PC, Xbox 360 and my stereo all within 20mins (no dead pixels :]). The Hi-def picture quality is awesome. The graphics coming from the xbox are astounding, and it is the perfect size for a large PC screen. Fits perfectly in a bedroom, just about the largest TV I would want for a bedroom, any bigger and you'd be to close to the screen for optimum viewing.I bought this set mainly to use as a bigger display than my 17" lcd on my laptop, and i was a little skeptical about the color temp and the resolution compared to a high-end computer monitor. As soon as i hooked up my laptop via the HDMI cable this screen blew my mind, the text is sharp, the color temp is spot on (has menu features to adjust) and the shear size makes editing photos in photoshop and lightroom a breeze. I'm a professional photographer and I am pretty picky when it comes to color and res and this set was exactly what I was looking for.I highly recommend this set!

Looks great sounds not so great

Bought this set just before black Friday from Target. Set up out of the box very easy, hooked it to my Verizon Fios, picture looked stunning. Noticed a weird problem that only happened a couple of times. When a non HD commercial would come on, the audio on the tv started to flutter, skip, and then go silent. The longer that I kept this set, the more frequent this started to occur. I was starting to get pretty frustrated with this and finally enlisted Vizio's help. The first thing they have me do is reset the factory default settings on the tv. This means turning off the features I bought the set for, ex: SRS TruSurround, and TruVolume. Ok, I'll play along, so I reset the tv and guess what? It didn't fix the problem, and now my tv sounds tinny and still has the fluttering and volume cut off situation. Frustrated, I hang up with Vizio and now a new problem arises, when some kind of graphic pops up on a show, the sound gets really loud and poof, the tv reboots its self. Now I've had it, called Vizio again, and they tell me they've haven;t had any other complaints like this one?!? ( I guess they don't read Amazon reviews, and now I wish I had seen the Amazon reviews before buying this set). I now make the decision to return the set back to Target, but first I still need a new TV. Just by dumb luck, I find an open box Samsung 40" 1080p set at Best Buy for the same $399 I just bought this Vizio 37". Long story short.... I'm happy with the Samsung and I can use all of the sound features without a hiccup.I tried to leave this same review on Vizio's web site, but they still have not approved it.There are a lot of bad volume reviews about this set and the E371VA, so be careful in your decision when purchasing.

Picture quality ok - Sound quality poor.

The set was delivered quickly and was easy to set up. The picture quality was just ok, but the Toshiba I have in the other room has far superior picture quality. But what really sunk this unit for me was the sound quality - or lack of it. Sounds hollow and tinny, no matter how its adjusted. Certainly not the "superior audio" that was advertised. But Amazon was great! The unit is being returned without any hassle at all. They even paid for return shipping. Thanks, Amazon! I'll keep looking for a 37" with good sound. Likely a Toshiba.

Nice 32-inch TV - Has Digital Audio Out, Headphone Jack, 2 HDMI, 1USB

I bought this on sale at another store. This model is not a "Smart" TV; the "Smart" model is the Vizio E320i-A0. I use a Roku so don't need "Smart". Overall, I'm happy with the TV. Has a good picture, OK sound & the connections I need. I use this as a bedroom TV & it works great for that. I do not have cable or satellite so I use antenna; I can see the city tower from my house so I have wonderful reception.I own 3 additional Vizio TVs & they have been very good/dependable.Pros:-Very good picture; the black levels are very good & the colors are accurate.-Has digital audio out-3.5 mm analog audio out (side) - headphone/earphone jack-2 HDMI (1 side, 1 back)-1 USB (side)-Slim frame design looks really nice & takes up less space horizontally/vertically. The TV is still kind of "thick" but that's because it has the LEDs mounted behind the screen NOT along the edge.-Direct-Lit/Full-Array LED; NOT the CCFL Edge-Lit.-Matte Screen is pretty good in a bright room but not excellent; some minor reflections.-The 32-inch model has a plastic rectangular stand not the strange triangle/leaning version on the 29-inch TV.-Audio is better than most TVs in this size/price. It has 2 -10W speakers. It's not audiophile quality but acceptable & better than many.-SRS TruVolume which evens out the spikes in volume. This used to be an issue with commercials but with the passage & implementation of the CALM Act (Law passed by Congress that makes it illegal for commercials to be broadcast at louder volume) that's less of an issue. It can still be helpful when streaming movies, etc.-Ambient Light Sensor - I'm kind of indifferent to this feature.-Simple RemoteCons:-Unlit remote, small buttons-Stand doesn't swivel-No "Smart Dimming" (Vizio's name for Local Dimming)-60Hz-720p-No dedicated PC connection but you can use HDMI with the proper cords.-No Ethernet-Guide - My old Vizio's have the guide that shows what is currently on & what is coming up. This new Vizio only shows what is currently on the channel. I really liked the old way because I could see what TV programs will be shown throughout the day.FYI: The base/stand measurement is 15" x 7.5" VESA Mount Standard: 100mm x 100mm

Great TV for the price, provided you don't need streaming video.

I recently purchased the VIZIO E601i-A3 60-inch 1080p 120Hz Razor LED Smart FHDTV, an absolutely phenomenal TV with every conceivable feature you could ask for. Wanting to get a smaller TV for a second bedroom, I stumbled upon the TV featured here, the VIZIO E320-A1 32-inch 720p 60Hz LED HDTV TV at a friends house. He had just purchased it from Amazon. Upon checking out the TV; I felt as if it was missing some features that I was looking for. My friend was a little upset, but eventually pleased when I told him that he might want to return it to Amazon and get something else. While the picture and sound are excellent on this model; unless you're only buying a TV for the basics; I'd spend a little extra and get one that has more features than this. On the other hand; if all you need are the basics, look no further, as you won't find a better picture on any other 32" TV. This one comes with only 2 HDMI ports, which in my opinion is too few. There's no picture in picture, and more importantly, there's no Apps for streaming video. It comes with a very thin bezel(a great feature), as do all of the new Vizio TV's. The 720P resolution is superb, and is all that's needed on a TV of this size. As mentioned above; the surround sound was exceptional and quite an improvement over previous generation Vizio TV's. While at his house; I watched a few minutes of a soccer game, and found the picture to be extremely stable, with virtually no blurring effect during movement. The problem with the TV(for some people, not all) is that for the price, or slightly more; you can get one that has a lot more features. My friend knew nothing about streaming video, as he gets Netflix DVD's by mail. When I told him about the streaming feature available on most new TV's; he agreed that he had probably made a bad choice for him, which does not mean that this would be a bad choice for others. The bottom line is that if you're looking for a basic TV without streaming capability; this is an excellent choice. If you want more features, such as are available on most new TV's, than I would look elsewhere. Keep in mind that many people have no interest in streaming video, and as such this TV IS a superb choice.

Surpasses my expectations!

This set replace a 27" CRT TV which broke down.I found the set-up easy, although I had to call Vizio tech support twice during the process to walk me through the settings. They were quick to respond and politely and expeditiously walked me through in clear English (they are located in the U.S.A)I was initially satisfied with the video, but found the audio to be tinny and annoying.At the time of order through Amazon, I also ordered the low priced HDMI cables and Square Trade 3 year warranty for $ 29. Two days later, my cable guy replaced my TV box with an HD box using a more substantial HDMI cable than what I ordered. I was flabbergasted with the result. The video filled the screen with a picture of photographic clarity and the sound quality is such, that I shelved my plan to use external speakers. I couldn't be happier with the end product.I returned the cables to Amazon using their prepaid shipping label (the shipping charge was equal to the price of the cables. I swear by Amazon and would not think of making a purchase without the feedback of their reviews.While I made my purchase based on all the favorable reviews and the promise of tech support for the life of the TV, I have a bit of trepidation after reading many complaints concerning their service. My cable guy assures me that they had a lot of trouble with their sets until two years ago and stated he now considers their TVs to be of high quality with lowest prices.Update: I remain very pleased with the quality of the video and audio.Following are the picture settings I have adjusted, which you might find helpful.they applyto a standard picture setting using Cablevision with a TV box with HDM1 cable.backlight ... 85brightness .. 50contrast .... 60color ....... 26tint ........ -4sharpness ... 8
